The Jungle Spa
Traditional Lao treatments in the pavilions, river-view sauna, ice baths, and treatments rooted in herbs from our own farm.
The Jungle Spa is built into the riverbank gardens rather than placed inside a building. Treatment pavilions with views of the Nam Khan River and the jungle on the far bank, the natural setting is the room.

Sauna and Ice Baths
The Jungle Spa's river-view sauna overlooks the Nam Khan. It is available to all guests as a paid extra. Depending on the package it could be part of the daily wellness programme, and is included as a facility access point in some retreat packages.
Ice baths are positioned alongside the sauna, a contrast therapy sequence with measurable effects on muscle recovery, circulation, and nervous system regulation.
Spa treatments can be booked in advance of arrival or through the Guest Services team on-site. For retreat guests, the wellness team builds spa sessions into the daily programme as part of the retreat structure. For special occasions or couples treatments, contact the hotel in advance to arrange.
Frequently Asked Questions

Advance booking is recommended, particularly during peak season (November to April) and for longer or multi-treatment sessions. Contact Guest Services before arrival, or ask the front desk team on the day of arrival.
Is the spa accessible to non-retreat guests?
Yes. The Jungle Spa is available to all guests staying at The Namkhan. Treatment pricing applies individually; retreat packages include dedicated spa time as part of the programme.
Are treatments suitable for pregnant guests?
Some treatments are contraindicated during pregnancy. The spa team will advise during booking. Contact the hotel in advance if you have specific health considerations.
What products does the Jungle Spa use?
The spa uses eco-friendly, organic products, including treatments using locally foraged Lao botanicals consistent with the property's sustainability commitments. Synthetic fragrances and single-use plastic packaging are avoided wherever possible.
