Dog Shelter and Clinic

At The Namkhan Eco Resort, nestled in the serene beauty of Luang Prabang, Laos, we’ve always believed in harmony between nature, community, and compassion. Over the years, our eco-farm and resort have grown into a sanctuary not just for guests, but also for animals in need. 

Today, we are taking this commitment further with a project to build a shelter and sanctuary that will transform the lives of stray and community dogs in need.

Key Highlights of the Project

• Vaccinations,Castrations and medical care: In collaboration with the Local animal clinics We aim to vaccinate and/or castrate a dogs from the surrounding villages. With no affordable care options currently available, this initiative will provide vital services at no cost to pet owners, addressing a critical gap in the region.
  
  
• Free Land Contribution: The Namkhan Eco Resort has provided the land for the project, free of charge, a donation of immense value given the high cost of land in Laos.
  
  
• 100% of Donations Go to the Project: Every dollar raised will directly fund the construction of the shelter, clinic, and equipment. NamKhan covers all administrative, management, and operational expenses.
  
  
• Ongoing Support: 30% of NamKhan’s charity income in 2025 will be dedicated to sustaining the shelter, ensuring the dogs continue to receive the care they deserve.

What Your Contribution Will Achieve

Your support will help us:

1. Create a Safe Shelter for Up to 50 Dogs: Featuring secure fencing, four separation areas, and proper sleeping quarters.
   
   
2. Launch Community Programs: Offering free vaccinations and castrations to prevent disease and reduce suffering among stray and owned dogs.
   
   
3. Establish Comfortable Staff Facilities: Including sleeping quarters for two caregivers, a reception room, and an office for administration and volunteer coordination.

• Final Financial Breakdown: At the end of the project, a detailed financial report will be shared, ensuring transparency and accountability.
