James Choules, also known as ‘SheOne,’ is a British street artist renowned for his unique and expressive abstract art. Using shapes, patterns, and a striking monochromatic palette, SheOne creates captivating artworks on both walls and canvases. He employs the colour black to enhance details, elevate surfaces, making them more conspicuous. In the 1980s, as a teenager, SheOne drew inspiration from ‘The New York New Wave’ art scene, which included Keith Haring, Jean Michel Basquiat, and Futura 2000. He delved into wild-style street painting with spray cans, where his impeccable art communicated through lines, shapes, colours, forms, and gestural marks, gaining global recognition as a pioneer of abstract graffiti.
